At the Counselling Alliance we pride ourselves on being professional, honest and ethical.
The founder of the Counselling Alliance, Mary Sherrill has extensive experience working with clients and has been a counselling tutor for a number of years. She says “I am very aware of how many counsellors complete their extensive training and cannot find employment. Even those with a degree in counselling will often end up volunteering. It is this that has driven me to find a way to help both clients and counsellors and this inspired my launch of the Counselling Alliance.”
Newly qualified counsellors and counsellors in training will be supported and mentored closely by the more experienced counsellors.
All our counsellors are:-
Members of the BACP or a recognised professional body and are accredited or working towards accreditation
Working within the BACP ethical framework and are qualified to at least Level 4 Diploma and have done at least 100 hours counselling during their training
Attending regular ongoing training and supervision to enhance skills and knowledge
