I am registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Social Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and Chartered with the British Psychological Society. I qualified from the University of Leicester in 2014 and over my career have gained significant experience working with adults and young people on a range of mental health difficulties.
I am currently a Principal Clinical Psychologist within the NHS, working with adults experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties. I primarily specialise in working with
I work in close partnership with secondary schools across Northamptonshire providing therapeutic support for young people (16+) on a range of psychological and behavioural difficulties including anger and challenging behaviour, self-harm and eating difficulties. I also work as a Consulting Psychologist for the Lighthouse Centre which is a charitable organisation providing holistic treatment to people with life limiting and palliative care conditions.
As a psychologist, I have completed accredited training to high standard in a number of therapies. I use a person centred approach, drawing on a number of psychological approaches appropriate to individual client needs. These approaches include:
I am also an Associate Lecturer in Psychology and also a Consultant Practitioner, providing training, reflective practice, supervision and support for staff teams on a range of psychosocial needs. I have recently completed specialist training in Adult Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol and specialise in neuropsychological assessment and formulation for a number of neurological presentations including head injury and neurodegenerative illness.
